America's Internet Gambling Fight Continues
Our last news article was focused around Ray Lesniak (Senator of New Jersey) and his team of politicians, who have recently spoken about internet gambling at the Chamber of Commerce’s annual visit to Washington.
Since November 2013, internet gambling has been legal in New Jersey and they; therefore, do not want the Federal Wire Act of 1961 to be reintroduced by congress. It looks like they now have Caesars Entertainment on their side, as they have recently joined forces with two new lobbying firms in the form of Clark Geduldig Cranford Nielsen and the BGR Group.
They are planning on lobbying against Adelson who plans to get the Wire Act reinstated by congress. This is by no means going to be an easy fight for either side of the bill, as already hundreds of thousands of dollars have already been spent by both sides.
