Govtrack Doesn’t Believe the Restoration of America’s Wire Act will get passed
The congressional monitoring website, Govtrack believes that the Restoration of America’s Wire Act only has an 8% chance of being passed by congress.
Even though Sheldon Adelson (CEO of Las Vegas Sands) has spent a large amount of money lobbying the act, it hasn’t really gathered any traction in the Senate or the House. Govtrack believes the act is unlikely to get passed on a federal level whilst online gambling is only legalised in a handful of States in the Unites States of America.
This will be good news for the likes of MGM and Caesars Entertainment, who have been lobbying heavily against the act.
