KSA Issues Compliance Orders to 13 Gambling Operators
The Dutch gambling authority, Kansspelautoriteit (KSA), has recently taken decisive action against several operators for non-compliance with payout regulations. This initiative follows an investigative revelation that 13 licensed operators were not fully adhering to the payout requirements established under the Dutch Gambling Act.

The comprehensive investigation by the KSA identified that nine online gambling operators were found actively obstructing customer payout requests. Additionally, four others were suspected of similar infringements. Following a March 2024 reminder of the regulatory requirements, the KSA highlighted several unacceptable practices, including imposing minimum payout amounts and requiring players to fulfill specific wagering conditions before accessing their winnings. These practices were noted as direct violations of the Dutch Gambling Act, which aims to ensure fair treatment of all players.

Under the Dutch Gambling Act, operators must process payments securely and distribute player credits promptly. The law specifies that upon a player's request for a payout, the operator must debit the gaming account and credit the player’s account without undue delay. The KSA has responded by mandating all 13 investigated operators to provide written confirmation that they are not imposing any conditions on player payouts, such as minimum withdrawal limits or other restrictive criteria.
