Has The Restoration of the Wire Act Failed?

Rumours have been surfacing from Washington DC that the restoration of the Wire Act has failed to make as many waves in congress as hoped.

The bill originally attracted some political support; however, it has failed to make it out of the House Judicial Committee and also doesn’t seem to be gaining much support from the Senate.  It had been feared that it would be attached to the last minute omnibus spending bill; however, the details of this have since emerged, and the bill is nowhere to be seen.

The Coalition to Stop Internet Gambling will now have to re-lobby for the bill next year.
