Isle of Man offers Tax Relief for Their Licensed Operators

news_2.png

The Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission has decided to allow all 56 of their licensed online operators the chance to claim Double Duty Tax Relief.

They decided to implement the changes after the UK’s new point of consumption law came into effect on the 1st of December 2014.  The new gambling law requires operators in the UK to pay a 15% tax at the point of consumption, rather than the point of supply.  Previously if a gambling company operated outside the UK, they did not have to pay any tax in the UK.

The government in the Isle of Man felt that by offering a tax relief their operators will still choose to operate from data centers in the Isle of Man.
