Four Koreans Arrested Over Internet Gambling Ring in Philippines

A Korean internet gambling ring operating in the Philippines has recently been disbanded by the Philippine police department.  They obtained a search warrant for a house that was being rented by the company.  Once inside they seized eight different computers that were being used for operating an illegal internet gambling site and arrested four different men.

A group of local Philippine women were also found working in the house; however, they said they didn’t realize they were breaking the law by sending e-mails to players encouraging them to visit an illegal internet gambling site.

Unfortunately, there could be some legal complications with the case as previously cases have found that internet gambling is not punishable under Philippine law.
