Legalised Online Gambling in Netherlands To Be Delayed Until End of 2015?

It has taken the Dutch authorities just over three years to create an online gambling framework to legalise online gambling in the Netherlands.  However, it has since been revealed that even though the first draft of the Remote Gambling Bill is awaiting approval from parliament, a new issue has arisen regarding tax levels.

The Dutch Labour Party are fighting for the same tax rates for land based and online operating gambling sites, which could see the bill being delayed for up to a year.

Online gambling in the Netherlands was expected to be passed by the start of 2015; however, it now looks like it could realistically be the end of 2015, beginning of 2016.
