Mississippi Once Again Considers Legalising Online Gambling
Over the past three years, Mississippi has regularly considered legalising online gambling in their state. The process usually makes it to committee stage; however, it has time and time again been rejected, even though they were considering only allowing existing land based casinos in Mississippi to be able to apply for a license.
However, it seems a recent decline in their land based casinos has caused the issue to once again be readdressed. The Chairman of the House Gaming Committee, Richard Bennett has put together a team of eight different people to once again look into the possibility of legalising online gambling. They will be looking into the positive and negative effects of the industry as well as the experience of the other states where it is currently legalised.
