Sweden to Clamp Down on Gambling Adverts
Earlier on in the week, we talked about how the European Commission was suggesting that they wanted all online gambling advertisements in Europe to contain a warning for players. It now seems like Sweden has also become concerned by the high volume of online gambling advertisements in their country.
The Swedish government has tasked the Council of Gaming Ethics to look into all types of online gambling advertisements; paying special attention to the online gaming sites that do not have a gambling license for their country.
The Council of Gaming Ethics will be putting together a report of their findings, including how they think the country can clamp down on unlicensed sites.
