Turkey Serious About Blocking Illegal Online Gambling Sites

Over the past five years, Turkey has blocked over 100 different illegal online gambling sites from operating in their country.  The Turkish National Lottery and a telecommunications regulator know as TIB regularly work together to pick out the illegal operating online gambling sites in the country.

They have since issued a statement to illegal online operators telling them not to doubt their determination to get their sites blocked from Turkey.

Land based casinos is Turkey were forced to close their doors in 1997, due to a change of law.  This led to many Turkish gamblers turning to illegal online operating sites.
