Dutch Regulators Warn Illegal Gambling Operators

Online casino sites in the Netherlands are due to go live next year, once online gambling becomes legal.  This has led to the Dutch Gaming Authority, Kansspelautoriteit issuing a warning to any illegal sites that are planning on operating without a license.

Any online gambling sites found operating in the Netherlands without a license will not only receive some harsh penalties (fines and possible jail time), but they will also not be able to apply for an online gambling license in the Netherlands in the future.

Kansspelautoriteit has been given the authority to be able to successfully protect not only online gamblers, but also legal online gambling sites by cracking down on illegal sites, and they wanted to make it clear that they are more than willing to use these powers on any illegal operating sites.
