Las Vegas Sands has filed a lawsuit against thirty-five different online casino sites for trademark infringement.

The lawsuit claims that the companies are exploiting Las Vegas Sands world famous trademark by using their Jinsha Chinese characters (text style), which they believe falsely suggests an association with the Las Vegas Sands company.

The lawsuit is not only asking for injunctive relief and legal costs, but also for damages.  Sheldon Adelson, the CEO of Las Vegas Sands is an advocate of the Coalition to Stop Internet Gambling and is engaged in lobbying campaigns to get online gambling banned throughout the United States of America.  They believe these trademark infringements go against Las Vegas Sands anti online gambling message.
