This August, a series of gaming professionals will meet up at Casino Forum Batumi in Georgia to discuss the gaming industry and various topics related to the gambling industry.

Batumi has long been considered the “Las Vegas of the Black Sea”, making it an ideal location to hold the conference, which is drawing in gaming firms such as Gaming Intelligence, Casino City Press, Argo Play, and many more.

The event is scheduled to take place on August 18th, and will also cover issues such as taxation, investment in Georgia, and more. Some of the topics covered at the conference will be:

  • Batumi’s success as a gambling destination
  • Gambling business taxation in Georgia
  • Which gambling trends are promising for Georgia
  • Is Georgian gambling worth the investment?
  • Quality management issues
  • Increasing casino profitability (both online and land based)
  • Starting a gambling business from scratch
  • Blockchain and the future of gambling

The casino industry has thrived in Batumi, and Georgia is known for having liberal legislation in place when it comes to gambling, and there is little to no corruption in the region. Batumi has proven to be very popular as a tourist destination for Eastern Europe, as there is roughly $1.7 billion spent on the area annually from outside countries like Russia and Turkey. Georgia has been able to hold on to being one of the few countries located in the Caucasus where casino gambling is fully legal, which has contributed to making the area popular for visitors.

As for online gambling, Georgia has been open when it comes to options, as there are gambling halls throughout the country, where players can get on to a series of computers that offer games of chance. Online gaming has also been available in homes, with poker sites proving to have been extremely popular in the past.

Online casino operators hoping to secure a gaming license in Georgia have to front up a GEL 5 million fee, which opens operators up to both land-based and online gaming licenses. As of 2011, the online gambling industry was outpacing the global rate of more than 2:1.

Those hoping to attend the Casino Forum Batumi Conference can visit the conference’s website in order to purchase tickets, find information on becoming an exhibitor, or a sponsor of the show. Those sponsoring the event will have the opportunity to get key networking contacts for the region, including big name players such as Cubits CEO Tim Rheder.

“We found this conference as an excellent way to develop contacts in the Southern Caucasus region,” said Latest Casino Bonuses Owner, a key sponsor of the show. “ We are always looking for areas where we can expand our operations, and having an established online gaming market that flourishes within Georgia should be something that is important to any forward thinking business involved in our industry."
