Optimal Payments to Acquire Skrill for €1.1 Billion

Optimal Payments, the owners of the online money transfer business NETELLER has recently announced that they will be acquiring the Skrill Group for a mouth-dropping €1.1 Billion ($1.2 Billion).

The deal will not be finalised until the third quarter of 2015 (October-December).  However, they believe the move will be transformational for the company.  It will allow them to reach a larger international market, thanks to the fact that they will be able to offer 100 different payment types in 22 languages and 41 currencies.  

They also talked about the growing online gambling market and how they will now be able to target more countries who are interested in alternative online payments.
