South African Gambling Board to Be Fully Reviewed
Around August 2014, the entire South African Gambling Board was suspended while a forensic investigation was carried out regarding accusations of wasteful spending and corruption.
Rob Davis, the Minister of Trade and Industry in South Africa has since received the forensic report, which has highlighted irregular expenditure in the department that adds up to millions of South African Rands.
A parliamentary portfolio committee hearing was held to discuss the forensic report. They decided that a full review of the South African Gambling Board needed to be carried out before any further decisions could be made.
