UK Gambling Commission Suspends MetroPlay and 666Bet’s Licence

Back in September 2014, 666Bet acquired MetroPlay saying that it was planning on keeping its branding, but that all employees would no longer be required.

They successfully applied for an online gambling licence from the UK Gambling Commission for both of their online sites; however, it has since been announced that they have received an interim suspension from the Commission.

The UK Gambling Commission is concerned that MetroPlay Limited is unsuitable to carry on licensed activities in their country and have asked that they refund all player winnings and outstanding balances while they look into the matter further.  Both websites are currently down while the investigation takes place.

Update -24th March 2015

The Alderney Gaming Control Commission has since announced that they have also suspended MetroPlay’s license regarding concerns about their management team.  They have asked that all players are paid their outstanding balances.
