Online Gambling In Switzerland to Be Made Legal
All the way back in 2009, the Federal Gaming Board in Switzerland compiled a report that suggested the government in Switzerland should change its policy on online gambling.
After much debate, the Federal Council of Switzerland has decided to make online gambling in their country legal, and have; therefore, started to make a first draft of the legal requirements that will underpin the regulatory process. The drafting is being executed by the Swiss Department of Justice and Police, with a representative from each of the 26 different Swiss provinces also being present.
Currently, there are 19 different licensed casinos in Switzerland, and they will each be welcome to apply for an online gaming license. Switzerland will be using the additional taxes they get from online gaming industry to pay for additional care for the elderly.
Switzerland will also be changing their national tax structure, so that online casino players will no longer have to pay tax on their winnings.
