Slow Growth of Online Gaming In America Due to Credit Card Problems?
Earlier on in the week, the Associated Press news industry reported that over 60% of the credit card transactions that were attempted by online gamblers in Atlantic City were declined by their credit or debit card company.
The Associated Press spoke to CAMS LL who collect and manage payment deposit and withdrawals for some of the biggest online gaming sites in Atlantic City. They said that Visa was the most problematic with players, with only 44% of card transactions being approved. In comparison to this, MasterCard proved the most reliable with 77% of transactions being approved.
The popularity of internet gambling in Atlantic City is growing month on month; however, the industry was expecting a faster growth rate and believe that it could be slower due to some of the larger credit and debit cards companies refusing to process their player’s deposits.
