Belgian State Gambling Commission to Crack Down on Gambling Apps

news_3.png

The State Gambling Commission in Belgian has raised concerns on the availability of free gambling acts as they believe there are not enough protective measures to stop minors from downloading and using the apps.

They are considering compiling a gambling blacklist of apps that they believe target children and underage teenagers with names such as Slots Candy and Sweet Bingo, etc.  They will also be appealing to Apple and Google’s online app stores to ask them to integrate an age limit on the apps they currently offer their users.

The head of the State Gambling Commission; Peter Naessens commented that people under the age of 18 may believe that the apps are free to play.  However, due to in-app purchases you could soon start paying more than they intended.
