Irish Online Gambling Tax Looks Set to Go Ahead

irish_flag.jpg

Over the last three years, politicians in Ireland have been discussing implementing an online gambling tax that would require all bookmakers to pay tax on any remote gaming services they supply to Irish players.

The new act would also require foreign and Irish based companies to apply for a license to operate.

If the new tax regime goes ahead, then an additional €25 Million will be paid to the government.  They have planned to invest €11 Million of this back into the Horse Racing and Greyhound Racing industry.
