Hong Kong Will Not Be Blocking Illegal Sites

Hong Kong will not be following in Singapore’s footsteps by blocking illegal operating gambling sites in their country.  Instead, they said they will be respecting the general public’s freedom to access information.

Illegal operating gambling sites are popular in Hong Kong, as they offer players higher gambling odds and tax evasion, as they do not have to pay any tax on their winnings.

The country will be carrying on with its current online gambling strategy to help deal with illegal gambling sites.  These include; setting regulations, enforcing the regulations with law enforcement, educating the public about the perils of illegal sites and providing counselling and treatments for those players with gambling problems.
