New Zealand’s Problem Gambling Foundation Loses Funding

newsealandproblemgambling.JPG

Earlier on in the year, New Zealand’s Problem Gaming Foundation was advised that their funding would be slashed by a massive 70%.  The decrease in funding would not only result in 52 employees losing their jobs, but would also cause their ten offices and eleven outreach clinics to close.

The Problem Gaming Foundation decided to appeal the decision to the High Court, as they believe that they have been doing their job extremely well for over 25 years, and without their help members of the public with gambling problems would suffer.

The judicial review will take place over three days from Monday the 22nd of September.
