Quarterly reporting from major gambling suppliers suggests that high-volatility slot content is taking a larger share of player attention. The clearest signal came from Evolution’s third-quarter 2025 update, where RNG revenue grew faster than Live for the first time in the period, with the company pointing to slots performance, and specifically Nolimit City, as a major factor. Taken alongside supplier release plans and UK market data, the latest figures suggest that games built around sharper swings and larger upside are becoming a more visible part of the commercial story.

Evolution’s Q3 Update Sharpens The Picture

Evolution’s third-quarter 2025 report offered one of the clearest signs that harder-swinging slot releases are attracting more player activity. RNG revenue rose 4.1 percent year on year to €75.5 million, while Live revenue fell 3.4 percent to €431.7 million, making it the first quarter in which RNG grew faster than Live.

This was not framed as a broad lift across every product segment. Evolution pointed to its slots studios, with Nolimit City singled out, which matters given the studio’s reputation for releases built around steep bonus swings, rare feature triggers, and larger payout potential. The company’s own commentary tied the quarter’s performance to games known for a more volatile pattern of play.

The Year-End Figures Suggest The Pattern Held

When Evolution published its full-year 2025 results, RNG still stood out as a stable contributor despite pressure in parts of the wider business. Full-year RNG revenue reached €293.9 million, up 2.3 percent, and the group said its roadmap included more than 110 game releases. That does not mean every upcoming title will lean on bigger variance, but it does show the company is still investing heavily in the segment.

UK Market Figures Add Useful Context

The wider market backdrop also matters. That is enough growth to support several product trends at once, including the current push toward bonus-led releases with sharper volatility profiles.

Regulator data shows a bigger active audience for online slots, while supplier updates point to stronger momentum from studios known for bigger-variance releases.

Evolution linked RNG growth to specific studios, while Pragmatic Play’s upcoming slate showed that louder feature sets are still being pushed hard into the market. Taken together, that suggests platform groups are not simply observing interest in high-volatility content, but rather, are building around it.

IGT’s Jackpot Messaging Reflects the Same Wider Appeal

The same commercial logic can be seen in adjacent parts of the gambling sector. The Quarterly Direction Is Becoming Harder To Ignore

Providers are seeing stronger movement in categories built around bigger swings, heavier bonus rounds, and higher upside, and that is starting to show up more plainly in quarterly and annual reporting. Not every market update isolates volatility by name, but taken together, the recent numbers point in the same direction.
