Late last year William Hill expressed an interest in acquiring 888 Holdings. They held various talks with the company and decided to offer them £2 per share plus an additional 3p dividend per share.
However, one of the co-founders of 888 Holdings believed this was not enough for the company and was pushing William Hill for £3 per share plus the additional 3p dividend per share. Unfortunately, this led to talks between the two companies coming to an end.
888 have since issued a statement saying that their company is in excellent condition and that they are trading within their expectations.
