SOFTSWISS, renowned for its comprehensive iGaming solutions, has launched a new Horse Racing Module within its Sportsbook software. This innovative addition is initially set to debut in South Africa, aiming to bolster its existing product offerings. With over 15 years in the industry, SOFTSWISS persistently enhances its portfolio by introducing cutting-edge solutions across diverse markets.

The horse racing sector plays a pivotal role in the global betting scene, particularly in territories with ties to the United Kingdom. Nations such as South Africa, Canada, Japan, and New Zealand have deep-rooted horse racing traditions, making this a vital sector in the betting industry. According to market projections, the worldwide horse betting market is expected to reach a staggering €82.6 billion by 2032, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.6% from 2023 to 2032.

SOFTSWISS’ new Horse Racing Module is poised to open up new business avenues for operators, offering around 320 local races and 2,150 international races from 14 different countries for betting each month.

Key Features and Development by Turfsport

Initially crafted by Turfsport, a seasoned South African software developer with 35 years of experience in iGaming, the new Horse Racing Module brings an array of exciting features. Turfsport was recently acquired by SOFTSWISS, a move that further augments their product lineup. Key features of the module include fixed-odds betting across various markets, racecards, silks, and multiple bet types. Moreover, the solution's design allows for customization, enabling operators to adapt skins and configurations to match their brand aesthetics.

Alexander Kamenetskyi, Head of SOFTSWISS Sportsbook, emphasized the significance of this launch, saying, "The acquisition of a majority stake in a key South African software provider has enabled us to integrate the SOFTSWISS Sportsbook with the Horse Racing Module by Turfsport, widening our offering. Launching this module in South Africa aligns with our recent expansion into the region, where we have obtained local certifications for our Casino Platform and Sportsbook. Horse racing remains highly popular, particularly in South Africa, but we are confident this product has strong global potential. This integration marks just the first step in the ongoing development of the Horse Racing offering within our Sportsbook."

SOFTSWISS Continue Expansion in South Africa

The introduction of the Horse Racing Module is part of SOFTSWISS’s larger strategy to expand in the South African market. Earlier in 2024, the company launched two additional products specifically tailored for the South African market. The first product, the Lotto Software, allows operators to present a broad spectrum of customizable lottery betting options independently of traditional lottery organizations. This software is optimized for both desktop and mobile, facilitating player engagement in custom or quick-pick betting.

The second offering was the Retail Betting Solution, designed to support various betting activities, including sports betting, lotteries, horse racing, and casino games. This solution assists operators in quickly and legally setting up offline gambling businesses, further consolidating SOFTSWISS's presence in South Africa.

To share more about these developments, SOFTSWISS will be at the SBC Summit Lisbon from 24 to 26 September. At Stand B160, attendees will have the opportunity to explore the latest updates within the SOFTSWISS ecosystem, potentially paving the way for future engagements and partnerships.
