It's been announced that Cherry has been granted a total of eight licenses by the Swedish Gambling Authority, meaning that all of their applications to operate in the country have been approved. It comes ahead of new regulations that will be in effect from 1st January 2019.

A Great New Year For Cherry

Cherry operates a number of online casino and gambling brands, including Casino stugen, Cherry Casino, ComeOn, Hajper, Mobilautomaten and Snabbare. Two partner brands have also been issued with e-gaming licenses. Cherry already has an important foothold in Sweden, having operated the land-based Restaurant Casino since 1963. Cherry Spelgladeje has applied for a license for each of their 270 sites where gambling is already allowed.

The new regulations for Sweden will allow Cherry to further expand their business across the country. While it was a lot of work to obtain licenses, the company believes that the changes will benefit both players and operators.

Although, the license applications have involved a considerable amount of work, we are convinced that the Swedish regulations provide better conditions for gaming operators, our customers as well as for us as a company and therefore also for our sharehold

Gunnar Lind, President and CEO of Cherry
