Mr Green Disputes Austrian Tax Liability

mrgreenlogo.JPG

In 2011, Austria executed a new law that would require online casino operators to pay 40% tax on any gross gaming wins that originated in their country.

This law sees Mr Green Casino owe SEK 100 Million (£8.59 Million) to the Austrian government.  However, they are disputing the tax liability and have instead submitted a self-correction in accordance with the country laws.

Mr Green have come forwarded and said that they decided to take legal action and dispute the tax liability as they believe the law imposed in 2011 is deemed conflicting to the constitutional Austrian law.

We will keep you updated with any developments on the case.
