Basic Instinct Slot Review

Basic Instinct is a 5 reel, 50 pay lines video slot game by iSoftBet. It features 3 different stacked wild symbols, as well as 243 ways to win

About Basic Instinct

Basic Instinct is based upon the hit 1992 film of the same name, which you may recall features Michael Douglas as Detective Nick Curran, and Sharon Stone as the sexy and seductive Catherine Tramell. In the slot game, Catherine Tramell is the star of the show and you will; therefore, get to see three different cult images of her from the film. The game also includes other symbols that you may associate with the film including; an ice pick, hand cuffs, a gun and a police badge. The letter and number symbols used have buildings from San Francisco’s skyline incorporated into them.

Betting Options

The Basic Instinct slot game allows players to pick up a win, by having two or more of the same symbols next to each other (left to right) on the reels. This gives players 243 ways to win, as there are no set pay lines in the game. However, players have to bet on a minimum of 50 lines when playing to give them their total wager.

There are 4 different coin sizes in the game ($0.01, $0.02, $0.05 and $0.10), and players simply need to multiply this by their chosen bet level (1, 2, 5, or 10). Please note that the bet level will be multiplied by all 50 lines. This means you can spend anywhere between $0.50 and $50 when playing.

Slot Features

There are three special Wild symbols in the game, which are each depicted by a photograph of Catherine Tramell. The first is the Drop Wild symbol. This symbol will substitute other symbols in the game, to help make up a winning pay line; however, it cannot stand in for the Bonus Wild and Free Spins symbols. If you manage to bring this symbol up across an entire reel, then it will drop down one position over your next two spins, to help make up even more wins.

The Free Spins Wild symbol will also try and help make up winning combinations and once again cannot replace the Drop Wild or Bonus Wild symbols. If this symbol manages to spread across a whole reel, then you will be rewarded with some free spins on the game. The free spins feature can be re-triggered, and you can also enter the bonus game during your free spins.

The last special symbol is the Bonus Wild. This symbol can also stand in for other symbols in the game, excluding the Drop Wild and Free Spins Wild symbols. If you manage to get this symbol across a whole reel, then you will enter the games bonus round. The bonus game is the most exciting aspect of the game, as it first of all lets you re-live the famous police interrogation scene from the film (you know the bit we are talking about!), and secondly allows you to open boxes to win prizes. If you come across the Ice Pick, any winnings you have found so far will be doubled (excludes progressive jackpot). However, what you really want to find is the Gun, as this will reward you the games Killer Progressive jackpot. The bonus round ends when you either find the Gun, or Handcuff symbols inside the boxes.
