African Skies Slot Review

African Skies is a 5 reel and 25 pay line progressive video slot game that has been released by NuWorks Gaming. It includes; a Wild symbol, a Scatter symbol, two different Free Spin rounds, a Win-Win feature and an additional Jackpot Pyramid bonus round.

About African Skies

Some video slot games manage to magically transport you to the other side of the world and African Skies is just one of the many slots that did this to us. It is an African safari themed game that has some beautifully designed life-like symbols.

The African Skies slot game takes place in Africa as the sun is setting. The symbols on the reels are all safari themed and include; Lions, Elephants, Giraffe, Zebras, Rhinos, Baboons, Eagles, Leopards, an African Tribal Man, African Flowers, a Tribal Necklace and a Sunset Candelabra Tree.

Betting Options

The African Skies slot game allows you to spend between $0.01 and $25 spinning the games base reels. However, if you also want a shot at one of the games five progressive jackpots, then you will also have to make an additional wager using the Jackpot Pyramids side-bet. This ranges between $0.05 and $2.50 per spin, and gives you between a 1 and 300 to a 1 in 6 chance of triggering the bonus game respectively. This feature is found in the top right corner of the game.

Slot Features

The majestic Lion is the games Wild symbol. He can replace every other symbol in the game, excluding the Sunset Candelabra Tree symbol. Three of the Lion symbols in any position on the games will also launch the games first free spin feature. This will give you ten free spins on the game, and is able to be re-triggered by once again bringing up three Lion symbols on an active pay line. All winnings will also be tripled.

The games scattered symbol is the Sunset Candelabra Tree. Three or more of these symbols will give you 15 free spins on the game. Any winnings you pick up will be doubled and it is also possible to win additional free spins by having three Lion or Sunset Candelabra Tree symbols.

If you are playing with all 25 of the games pay lines and you don’t do well in the free spin features, then you could be eligible for the games Win-Win feature. This feature can pay out between 20x and 1,000x your slot bet; however, it all depends on how well you do in the free spins round.

To qualify for the African Skies Jackpot Pyramid game, you have to make a separate side-bet. This gives you an odd for triggering the bonus game after any spin. The bonus game gives you a shot at winning one of the five different progressive jackpots; Mini, Minor, Major, Maxi or Grand.

Simply make your way up the pyramid, opening different doors along the way. Inside the doors will be three differently coloured Idols. Gold Idols will reward you with a progressive jackpot (the higher up the pyramid you are, the better the jackpot), Green Idols award an instant prize and allow you to pick again, and the Red Idol will end the bonus game.
