Iron Girl is a video slot produced by Play'n Go that centers around a female bounty hunter who is after four different villains. These villains are all aliens since this game takes place in space, and you'll find that they all four make up the upper half of the pay table as well.
The gameplay is centered around a high-action style that uses a lot of opportunities to win several times on the same turn and to expand the size of wins by adding more symbols to the game board. It's a fun feature set that leads to an experience that's unlike most of what's available out there today, and it's a title that looks excellent as well with strong graphics.
Game Format
Because this title's feature set needs a solid format to be effective, you're getting five reels, three rows and 20 paylines in this game. That's a common layout that's very popular because of how solid it is, so it's a perfect fit here. All of these paylines go from left to right only, and you cannot change how many paylines are activated.
A set of available bet sizes per spin can be seen at the bottom of the screen, and they go from $0.20 at the minimum to $100 at the maximum. Because you're only choosing total bet sizes, that's what your payouts will be based on instead of multiples of however much would be wagered on each payline. As a result, the win sizes may seem a little smaller until you realize that multiplying them by 20 would give you the equivalent if you were playing with the other type of payout listings.
Villain Re-spin Feature
Most of what this game has to offer in terms of features comes by way of the Villain Re-spin Feature. If you get any winning combination of any of the villain symbols, then you trigger this feature, so it's actually fairly easy to trigger considering that it's the main feature for the whole game.
The winning combination with the highest-level villain is held in place on the given spin, and any other payouts are paid out immediately. From there, you get a free re-spin of all of the other symbols while the villains and wilds are held in place. If you get more wilds or more of that particular villain symbol, then those are held in place as well while you get more re-spins. Once those conditions are no longer met, you get paid out for any winning combinations for that symbol (including the wilds) for what you've accumulated on the board.
Bounty Bonus
When you're in the re-spin mode, you'll notice that a meter is keeping up with how many symbols you collect (the selected villain plus the wilds). If you get at least eight of them, then two wilds are randomly added to the reels at the end of the feature. Pick up 10 for a 2x multiplier on all of your wins, and make it 12 for a 3x multiplier. Finally, if you're able to pick up 14 or more of the symbols, then you'll be given an incredible 5x multiplier on your pays.
This can obviously help you to get some pretty huge payouts overall because you'll be getting payouts for a high-level symbol on several paylines multiplied several times over.
Iron Armor Feature
A randomly occurring feature is the Iron Armor feature. When it triggers, up to five random wilds are added to the reels at the end of your regular spin. Note that this can be used to trigger the re-spin feature, so you can see how all of the features tie in together.
Pay Table and Wins
The bounty hunter herself is the wild symbol. She doesn't give any particular payouts, but she does help to get winning combos. The blue villain is worth 10x for five of a kind, and you'll earn 7.5x for five of the purple villain. The green and orange villains each give 6x or 5x, respectively, for five of a kind combinations.
Futuristic versions of the four card suits make up the rest of the pay table. The blue spade, red heart, orange diamond and green club symbols all give you 2.5x for five on a payline.
Overview
Iron Girl brings a lot to the table with how its major features all come together. The re-spin feature is obviously the centerpiece of the whole game, but the other features play into it to make it even more effective. This creates a style of high-action gameplay that's definitely the kind of thing that most players will be very much into.
Between the reasonable aesthetic appeal and the high hit-rate play style, we feel comfortable recommending this to any player who likes low-volatility games. Even if they aren't your particular cup of tea, you'll still be able to enjoy this game based on the chances of scoring major wins in the re-spin feature.
