Star Trek: Red Alert Slot Review

Star Trek: Red Alert is the first of six episodic slot games that are based around the hit Star Trek TV show. The game has been developed by WMS, and features 5 reel and 25 fixed pay lines. Players will be able to enjoy Wild symbols and a feature bonus round that lets you destroy ships.

About Star Trek: Red Alert

Star Trek: Red Alert takes place on board the Starship Enterprise. The background to the reels consists of moving stars, which makes it look like the game is flying through outer-space. The symbols in the game are taken from the Star Trek TV Series and include; Captain Kirk, Bones, Spock, Kang, the Starship Enterprise, a Phaser, a Communicator and many more symbols that you will recognise from the show.

We are pleased to report that Star Trek: Red Alert uses the famous Star Trek theme music, and also has clips and sound bites from the show.

Betting Options

WMS wanted to make the Star Trek: Red Alert slot game available to as many Trekkies as possible; therefore, you can spend between £0.35 and £105 per spin.

Slot Features

The games Wild symbol is the Star Trek logo. This symbol can replace other symbols in the game; however, it cannot stand in for the Feature symbol. If you manage to get three or more of the Feature symbols in any position on screen, then you will launch the Red Alert feature, and will also be rewarded with one Medal.

The Red Alert Feature is a free spins bonus round, which will take you to an alternative set of reels. Above the reels you will see the star ship enterprise going into battle with a fleet of Klingon ships. In the bottom right hand corner of the game, you will notice that that Starship Enterprise’s shield is currently set at full strength (5).

If you manage to pick up a win on your free spin, then a laser beam will be shot at the fleet of Klingon Ships, and you will receive whatever multiplier you manage to hit on top of your winnings, and/or a medal. If you don’t manage to pick up a win on a spin, then you will be hit by your enemy’s fire and lose a point from your shield meter.

If you manage to bring up three or more Shield symbols anywhere on the reels during your free spins, then your shield meter will automatically be filled back up. The free spins round will continue until your shield meter is empty.

Once it is empty you will be asked to select Channel A or Channel B. This could re-fill your shield, let you keep spinning the reels until you pick up a win, or end the bonus round.

Star Trek: Red Alert also has a Win Warp feature, which is triggered randomly after any winning spin. This can increase your reward by offering Rock Creature Multiplying Wilds, Expanding Wilds, and much more.

As Star Trek: Red Alert is an episodic slot game; it means that your game progress is saved each time you play. Once you have managed to collect 50 medals, you will open the next episode of the game. The second game is called Star Trek: Explore New Worlds.
