There are thousands of slots that have been made over the years, and it can be tough to come up with a theme for a game that hasn't already been done. Saucify managed to do it with their Beat Bots slot, and it's based on a premise of a bunch of musically inclined robots looking to put on a big performance. You'll have opportunities to win a variety of prizes in this game, and the action is pretty strong overall.
What you're getting with this game is five reels with three rows and 40 paylines. Something worth pointing out is that 40-payline slots usually go with a 5x4 layout instead of a 5x3, but Saucify decided on three rows instead for some reason. The coin sizes start off at the $0.01 level, and because they go up to $0.25 apiece, you can wager between $0.40 and $10 per spin in this game. High rollers might wish they had larger bet sizes available, but the bottom line is that the vast majority of players will be able to find wager sizes that work for them.
Wild Beat Bots Symbol
There is a Beat Bots logo symbol in this game that acts as a wild symbol. You will find it on every single reel. However, it also acts as a multiplier. If you make winning combinations with at least one of these symbols, then you'll get a 2x multiplier on the regular payout amount. Aside from that, you can win 4,000x for five of a kind or 1,200x for four of a kind. Each of these are among the largest payouts you can get in this game. Moreover, the win for three of a kind is 200x, and the win for just two of a kind is 5x.
Scatter Symbols and Free Spins
There is a DJ robot that is spinning records on a light-purple background. Five anywhere on the reels gets you a win worth 50 times your total bet, and that's like a 2,000x line bet win, making this one of the largest wins you can get. Four of a kind earns 25x, and three of a kind earns 3x. Again, these payouts are multiplied by your entire bet size.
These scatters can also award you free spins. Five earns 16 free spins, four gets 12 and three will give you eight free turns. You cannot re-trigger these free spins, which is a bit of a drag, but you get a better symbol set. The scatter becomes an extra wild during the free spins, and it also acts as a 2x multiplier. Moreover, the scatter gives larger payouts during the free spins bonus feature.
Mid-Range Wins and Payouts
There are four robot symbols that are important for the regular game, and they are all mid-range symbols. The blue robot pays 150x for five, and the green one at a computer desk pays 120x. The red robot with a guitar will get you a payout of 90x, and you can earn 50x for the yellow robot carrying a steel beam. It's cool to see a different type of cast of characters together in a slot like this, and we're definitely fans of how much this game stands out as a result.
You'll find four card-rank symbols that make up the bottom end of the pay table. All four of them show up as digital displays on some type of flying drone, and they fits in really well with the overall theme. Five of the purple A will get you 40x, and it drops just slightly to 35x for five of the blue K. The green Q gets 30x for five, and the red J pays 15x for five of a kind.
We are not a fan of extremely low payouts for five-of-a-kind wins, and that's the case with the red J here. We think that this type of thing breeds resentment from players who think that they have won something big with a five-of-a-kind payout only to find that they didn't even win enough to cover the cost of the spin.
Saucify's Beat Bots game has a lot of cool characters and some strong features. Between the wild multipliers and the free spins feature with extra wilds and a better symbol set, it's clear that a cool theme and some fun characters aren't all that this game has to offer. The only weakness we really think this game has is how the bottom end of the pay table is so weak, and we explained why that is the case above. Overall, it's still a pretty strong game, and we definitely think that it has something for just about any type of player.
