Theme

Gems of the Gods might not play like a conventional slot machine…

...or most other gambling games for that matter…

...but it does still offer a tried and tested theme from the world of video slots.

That theme is based on the mystical grandeur of the Greek Gods and, as such, the game's playing grid is presented over an image of Mount Olympus…

...the home of the many gods and goddesses of the Ancient Greek pantheon.

This beautiful setting up in the heavens provides the perfect backdrop for the game's centerpiece of precious stones and glorious gem icons. There are triangular teal gems, sky blue rhombus stones, hexagonal deep blue sapphires, purple pentagons, pink octagonal gems and a square ruby. That's all there is too it, just some beautiful gems set in a grand and godly setting.

Betting Options

This is a beautifully designed non-progressive slot. Available on all HTML5 compatible devices play from between 0.20 and 100 per spin.

Instead...

...any combination of three or more of the same gaming symbol aligned vertically or horizontally will trigger a win. Those gaming symbols will disappear once the win is awarded, with the symbols above them falling into their previous places.

Not only can this trigger a second round of wins (or a third, fourth, or fifth) ...

...but a win multiplier is also added for each successive round: double for the second round, quadruple for the third round, a factor of six for the fourth round, and a factor of eight for any rounds beyond. In this way, major wins can be racked up without any additional bonus feature being triggered.

Keep an eye out for the lightning symbol - when this lands, it triggers the Lightning feature.

Special Features

If a lightning symbol appears anywhere on the reels the Lightning feature is triggered – it will randomly select one gem symbol and transform them all (and itself) into a different gem, increasing the opportunities for winning combos.

When one or more coins have worked their way down, you win the free spin bonus. You start with five free spins, where every golden coin that activated the bonus becomes a sticky wild for the remainder of the free spins. These free spins can be retriggered endlessly, something that occurs quite frequently.

Our Take

Gems of the Gods is a hybrid of a traditional slot and a Tetris-style video game - the design is superb with the action playing out to a quality soundtrack. The slightly unusual gameplay may take a little while to get used to if you're used to playing more traditional slots.
