About Fruitoids
Yggdrasil Gaming has been selling Fruitoids as an outer-space themed slot game that is based upon a range of alien fruits named Fruitoids. However, personally we feel like the game takes place on an alien planet similar to the planet Pandora from the hit film Avatar. The games graphics are breathtakingly beautiful and we could easily imagine the seven different Fruitoids symbols nestled in the background in some of Avatar’s most famous scenes.
The music in the game has an outer world vibe that becomes faster and more exciting as you spin the games reels.
Betting Options
Fruitoids is a fixed 25 pay lines game; however, you are able to amend the coins denominations between $0.0032 and $2, to give yourself a total spin amount between $0.08 and $50. We think this is the very first video slot game that we have seen where you can bet less than $0.01 per pay line.
Slot Features
Each time you make up a winning combination on the Fruitoids slot game, the game will freeze your winning symbols in place, and give you a free re-spin on the game. If you manage to match any of the symbols on screen to your already frozen symbols, then these will also freeze and you will be given another free re-spin. This will continue to happen until no new symbols freeze.
If you manage to get two or more consecutive reels (starting from the 1st reel) completely full of frozen symbols, then your pay line winnings will also be bumped up with a win multiplier. The more consecutive reels you manage to fill with frozen symbols, the higher the multiplier you will receive. For example; the first two reels filled with frozen symbols will earn you a 2x win multiplier, whereas all five frozen reels will earn you a 5x win multiplier.
This is the only real feature of note on the Fruitoids slot game and although we really enjoyed it, we would have liked to have also seen a Wild symbol and a Scatter symbol in the game.
