With a theme that we haven't seen very often at all, the African Spirit slot by Booongo uses an African theme with totems, animals and other symbols to give a unique feel to the game. It has a bit of a mystical feel to it without being overboard, and the graphics are very appealing. The soundtrack is interesting as well, and it seems that everything is in place wth this game to wrap players up in a very immersive expeirence.
Game Format
A pretty standard format is used as the basis for this slot. You'll get five reels with three rows of symbols, and there are 20 paylines. The paylines are static, and you cannot change them. Players will have options for around a dozen different total bet sizes based on wagering different amounts per payline. This starts with $0.01 on each payline for a total minimum bet of $0.20. The available bet sizes max out at $60 per turn in this particular game, which works out to be a $3 bet on each line.
Wild Jaguar Symbols
The wild Jaguar symbol appears on the second, third, fourth and fifth rows only. Because he'll never be on the first row, there are no wild-only winning combinations. He also does not substitute for the scatter, but he is important for two different features that drive the majority of the gameplay in this slot.
The first feature is simply a random wild. If no other bonus feature triggers on a regular spin, you'll have a chance to get extra wilds added to the reels. A minimum of four and maximum of eight random wilds can appear on the last four reels to give you opportunities to make a ton of big winning combinations that you otherwise would not have received.
Spear Symbol Respins
The spear symbol shows up sometimes on the fifth reel. When it appears, if it shows up on the same horizontal row as one of the jaguar symbols on the second, third or fourth reels, then it triggers a special respin.
