The Secret of Nefertiti slot by Booongo uses a sort of Egyptian theme, and the game itself is set in front of a massive indoor pool. The graphics in this game are outstanding, the reels themselves are flanked by two gorgeous Egyptian women who hold torches to light your way as you shoot for some big payouts on the reels. While the Egyptian theme has been used a ton in the industry as a whole, the visual appeal of this game is better than the overwhelming vast majority of those games, and the gameplay is super solid as well.

Format and Layout

While there aren't opaque reels in the same sense that you may see with many other games, this slot still uses five reels with three rows. There are 20 paylines that cannot be changed (not that you would want to), and it's clear that they went with a safe and solid format for this game. The betting is set up in a very simple way as well, and you can choose between a number of bet sizes that start off at the $0.20 level and that run up to $100 per spin. You don't have to adjust the coin sizes or the number of coins per payline. Instead, you choose the bet size you want, and it automatically lists the bet size per payline beside of that for your convenience.

Wild Multiplier Symbols

Players can find three different wild multiplier symbols in this game. The blue one pays 2x, the red pays 3x and the black pays 5x. It appears only on the middle reel, and if it's used as a part of a winning combination, that payout is multiplied by the respective multiplier value. It does not substitute for the scatter or bonus symbol, but it does substitute for anything else. Since wilds only appear on the middle reel, there are no winning combinations for only wilds, but the multipliers still give you a lot of value.

Scatters and Free Spins

The bird scatter symbol shows up on the second, third and fourth reels only. If you get two of them, you'll be given a 2x win multiplied by your total bet size. Likewise, three of a kind pays out a 5x win. We'll be the first to acknowledge that it's difficult to get a good game out of certain themes because they have been done so many times in the online slots world. With Secret of the Nefertiti, Booongo has gone off of the beaten path as much as they probably could with a game that uses an Egyptian concept, and we commend them for that.
