Frankenstein Slot Review
Frankenstein is a five reel, twenty pay line video slot game by Net Entertainment (Net Ent). It has linked wilds, and a free spins bonus round that pays out random multipliers.
About Frankenstein
Net Ent has joined forces with Universal Studios to create a Frankenstein themed slot game. All the main characters from Mary Shelley’s ‘Frankenstein’ story are present in the game such as; Dr Frankenstein, the Frankenstein Monster, and Fritz (Dr Frankenstein’s helper). There is also a Brain symbol, and some letter (J, Q, K and A) and number (9 and 10) symbols.
The slot game starts by playing a short video clip of how the Frankenstein monster was created. This sets the tone for the game, and would be beneficial for players who aren’t familiar with the Frankenstein story.
The sound effects in the game have been designed to be somewhat eerie; however, they are not scary.
Betting Options
To work out your total bet per spin, players simply need to take into consideration their coin size, bet level and number of pay lines. In Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein story, the Frankenstein monster was created by running an electrical current through an assortment of sewn together dead bodies. The slot game has taken inspiration from this and has a Lightening Linked Wild symbol. The wild symbol can stand in for majority of symbols in the game like normal (excluding scatter symbols); however, it can also spread across the reels and turn two or more nearby symbols wild. The Lightening Wild symbols can show up on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th reel of the game.
The scatter symbol is the Windmill. If you get 3, 4 or 5 of the Windmill symbols on screen, then you will be given 10 free spins on the game. During your free spins, there will be a guaranteed Fire Linked Wild symbol, which works the same way as the Lightening Linked Wild. Plus, if you bring up 2 or 3 of the Windmill symbols anywhere on the reels during your free spins, then you will be given 5 or 10 extra free spins respectively.
This alone would make a brilliant free spins bonus round; however Net Ent have taken things one step further by also placing an additional multiplier on the 5th reel of the game.
