Orc vs Elf Slot Review

Orc vs Elf is the very first 3D video slot game that has been released by Real Time Gaming (RTG). It has 5 reels and 25 fixed pay lines alongside the following features; Two Expanding Wild symbols, a Scatter symbol, a Bonus Battle Round, and the choice to take the Road to Elveros or the Trail to Orcholome to play 7 different features.

About Orc vs Elf

RTG have created a 3D video slot game that will remind players of J.R.R. Tolkien ‘Middle Earth’, which was made famous by his Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings book Trilogy. The release of the game has coincided brilliantly with the film released of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, and will be a firm favourite with fans of the franchise.

The symbols in the game are all exceptionally designed, and become animated when you pick up a win on the game. They include; an Orc, an Elf, Wolves, Unicorns, an Evenstar Pendent, a Bow and Arrow, a Sword, a Pile of Skulls, an Orc Shield, an Elf Shield, a Bloody Flag, a Magic Potion, an Orc’s Castle and an Elf’s Castle.

Betting Options

Working out your total bet per spin is incredibly easy, as you simply need to multiply your chosen coin size, by the amount of pay lines in the game (25). The games coin size can be amended between $0.01 and $1, which means that you can select a total bet per spin anywhere between $0.25 and $25.

Slot Features

Before you start spinning the reels of the Orc vs Elf slot game, you will be given the option to play on the Orcs or the Elves side. If you choose the Orcs, then you will take the Trail to Orcholome; however, if you select the Elf, then you will take the Road to Elveros.

If you are backing the Orc character, then 3 or more of the Orc Shield symbols will trigger one of the following seven features on the Trail to Orcholome; Goblin’s Gold, Hobgoblin, Orc Army, Orc Horde, Giant Spins, Chaos Spins, or Orc Onslaught. Each of these features gives away some free spins on the game; however, they do each have a unique feature such as additional wild symbols, or double paying symbols etc.

If you are cheering the Elf character on, then 3 or more of the Elf Shield symbols will trigger one of the following 7 features on the Road to Elveros; Woodland Spins, Elf Magic, Huntsman, Ancient Archer, Archmage, Forestal, or Elf King. Each of these features will once again giveaway some free spins on the game, and just like the Orc bonus round they each have a unique feature.

Please note that you have the choice to accept the feature you trigger, or to carry on with your journey. If you accept the feature, then you will restart your journey from scratch.

When three of the Battle Bonus Logo symbols show up on the games 2nd, 3rd and 4th reels, you will get to watch the Elf and the Orc battle it out on screen. If you are backing the Elf and he wins, then you will trigger the games Woodland Spins feature. This will give you 6 free spins on the game.

If you selected the Orc as your champion and he wins, then you will get to play the Goblin’s Gold feature. The Goblin’s Gold feature will give you 5 free spins on the game, during which the darkling symbols (Orc’s Castle, Wolf, Pile of Skulls, Orc’s Shield, Bloody Banners, and Sword) pay double.

If your character is defeated during the battle, then you will receive a randomly selected prize between 2x and 10x your bet.

The Orc symbol acts as an Expanding Wild symbol when he appears on the games 1st reel and so does the Elf symbol when he shows up on the 5th reel. They can both stand in for every other symbol in the game, excluding the Orc and Elf Shields.
