Alice and the Red Queen Review
Alice in Wonderland is one of the most celebrated tales in all of English literature. It details the travels of a young girl, Alice, and she leaves the world of reality behind her, and discovers a world filled with the impossible in Wonderland. She meets a wealth of classic characters, from the mad hatter, the white rabbit, and most notoriously, the red queen, who has an unfortunate knack for cutting off people’s heads. 1X2 Gaming’s take on Alice and her friends in Wonderland is decidedly more dark than the version that most people remember from the classic Disney cartoon movie.
Basic Features
Alice and the Red Queen follows the standard five reel layout, while featuring the familiar 25 unique pay lines that players will be able to use in order to win money off of the slot. Players can bet off of any of the 25 pay lines with coins that range in value from $0.01 to $0.50. Each line can be bet on with a maximum of 5 coins each. The autobet and max bet buttons skip the process of selecting the coin and bet range, automatically choosing the highest values for players who feel lucky enough to try it.
The symbols are all along the theme of Alice and her adventures in Wonderland. There is Alice, the Cheshire cat, a black rabbit, the twins Twiddle Dee and Twiddle Dum, the caterpillar, a cupcake the says eat me, a jar say says drink me, the white rabbit with his watch, a tea pot, the mad hatter, the red queen, and a heart shaped cake.
Bonus Features
The wild symbol is clear to find in the reels, as it says wild in large white letters against a spiral of orange and red. It can be substituted for any symbol besides the scatter and the cake. It will only substitute for the highest possible pay line combination.
The scatter is the symbol of the silver sparkling teapot. This icon will award the free spins round, with more free spins being unlocked with more teapots showing on the reels. If three teapots are showing, the free spins are activated, and players win 24 coins. If four are showing, players will win 80 coins, and with five players will win 400 coins.
In the free spins round, all of the winnings are automatically doubled no matter what. For three teapots, players will receive 5 free spins, with each teapot giving 5 more free spins.
