The original Enchanted Garden slot by Realtime Gaming offered a fun fantasy garden theme with fairies, unicorns and the like. Enchanted Garden II is the sequel to the original, and it shares the same kind of theme with much better graphics than the first edition. It also has different bonus features and a higher hit-rate with more paylines and different features. It's cool to see that RTG has worked on developing their own lines of games, and the level of graphics in this games shows that they have definitely improved between the times the games were released.
Format and Layout
The basic layout of this game is that it's a 25-payline video slot. There are five reels with three rows, and everything happens on a magical garden setting. There are multiple options for adjusting the speed of the game, and you can play with anywhere from 1 to 25 paylines. We suggest sticking to 25 per spin since that will give you the best average payout rate. Additionally, you can choose your total bet size per spin from $0.25 to $6.25 per turn, which is the same as coin sizes of $0.01 to $0.25 per turn.
Much like the first version of this game, the Fairy Princess symbol is extremely important. She's the wild multiplier in this game, and she shows up on the second, third, fourth and fifth reels. If you use this wild in a winning combination, it's doubled in size, but multiple wilds in the same win do not give you higher total multipliers. Additionally, because this symbol doesn't show up on the first reel, she doesn't have her own payouts. She does not substitute for the scatter, but she substitutes for everything else.
A really beautiful fountain with three tiers is the scatter in this game. Five of a kind earns a 500x payout (times the entire size of your bet), which is like a line bet win worth 12,500x, which is huge and the largest regular win in the game. This symbol pays for two of a kind or more anywhere on the reels, not just left-to-right.
It's important to note that five of this scatter is the largest regular win in the normal game. However, during the free spins features when there is a 3x multiplier, it can get up to 37,500x, which is absolutely huge. You should be aware that this game's maximum win is capped at the line bet equivalent of 50,000x per turn, so in the free spins, it might be possible to line up five scatters in addition to other wild-based payouts to earn over that threshold, in which case the extra winnings would be removed. For example, if your total win would have been worth 54,000x, you'll only be rewarded 50,000x. This is accounted for in the game's average payout rate, but it's important to know for the players as well.
If you get the Fairy Princess on the fifth reel and a fountain scatter anywhere on the first reel, you'll get to choose between two features. In the Firefly Feature, you get seven free turns with a 3x multiplier on all wins and a chance to add even more free spins to the feature. During the Fairy Queen feature, you get 10 free spins with a 3x multiplier and extra wilds on the second, third, fourth and fifth reels. You can also trigger more free turns in this feature as well.
The top regular win, other than five scatters, is 5,000x for five of the gnome with at least one wild. The win is 2,500x without the wild. You can get 1,000x for five of the gold and green ring (2,000x with a wild), and you can also pick up 300x (600x with a wild) for five of the frog or flower symbol. It's worth pointing out that all four of these symbols pay for just two of a kind.
The bottom-paying symbols are the A, K, Q, J, 10 and 9 symbols. Five of the blue A or red K earns 250x, or 500x with at least one wild. Five of the purple Q or cyan J gives you 150x (300x with a wild), and five of the orange 10 or green 9 are good for a 100x payout (200x with a wild). These six symbols require at least three of a kind for a payout win.
With Enchanted Garden II, what you're getting is a game themed around books like The Secret Garden and other types of nature fantasy stories. In terms of visuals, the graphics are pretty good, and they're definitely tailored to the nature fantasy setting without getting goofy or over-the-top with gaudy 3D graphics. The gameplay is excellent as well with multiple bonus features and a high hit-rate. Overall, this game's theme might not appeal to some players, but the gameplay will definitely appeal to everyone.
